The kids will write their Santa letters today. My oldest asked for the Hulk game for his PS-2 .. I found on ebay for less than $10.00. My daughter wanted anything and everything Littlest Pet Shop – well I found a lot of that on Ebay too. I fulfilled their wishes. My middle son wants a remote control helicopter. My greatest accomplishment would be getting into college and now being one semester away from my degree. I left HS in 9th grade and b/c of JCC – I have been able to not only study for my GED but also my associates too. I’ll have those in June. I FINALLY get to walk across a stage.

Making people smile.

What was the last thing you put in your mouth?
Wouldn’t YOU like to know. Ok … that was gross. Coffee. I considered an IV drip a la mode Coooofffeee … however, my doctor said that was unacceptable and unhealthy. Whatever!

How late did you stay up last night and why?
I went to bed at 9:30p I think. I didn’t sleep well last night either. I had a dream that I found out I was pregnant (Fuck me!!!) and that I was being held hostage at Red Lobster. Too bad it wasn’t all you can eat. I WAS eating for two.

If you could move somewhere else, would you?
I wouldn’t actually. I LOVE where I live. End of answer.

Have you ever been kissed under fireworks?
No, I don’t believe so.

Do you believe ex’s can be friends?
Yes I do actually. Well, it would be a challenge but it depends on maturity.

When was the last time you cried really hard?
I don’t remember actually. Probably this morning when I woke up and realized I wasn’t pregnant. They were tears of joy.

Yes. My drug of choice is coffee and too damn much of it. That’s legal .. right?

Yes and I asked him to define perfect. He couldn’t. Therefore, being analytical as I am – I am not perfect b/c there is no way to DEFINE perfect. I am however, pretty damn fab. =0D

Santa and he better have a big bag of fun stuff for me. Anyone else – you’re doomed because my ass will roll over and go back to sleep.

Too much. In fact I think so much about so many things that I often myself inherently and permanently confused about everything.

Five hours.

How did you meet your spouse or significant other (or most recent one)?
At work. How romantic.

Where was the last place you drove (other than home/school/work)?
I’m kind of lame …. no where.

Lets face it, a majority of the world believes in the possibility of after life, the paranormal, spooky-pants and I happen to fall in to that category. As my nine year old describes what clearly sounds the perfect paranormal experience – I had about five-thousand explanations going through my head. Do I tell him it might be a ghost? No, probably not. He wont ever sleep again and fail all of his classes. Not to mention it’s possible he may just want to rent his own house and be done with this one.

Do I tell him it was nothing? No. That would a be a lie, things happen in life that are unexplainable. I want him to be curious, I want him to be respectful & I want him to always dig deeper for answers that are still not found. My answer was simple – almost brilliant! I have always believe that my mom’s parent’s were my own guardian angels – in particular my grandma (mom’s mom). Growing up I was very close to her and she meant the world to me. With that in mind I dragged my nine-year old into our kitchen where our fridge is plastered with 4×6 photos of family. There is a photo dad & I being goofy at the cafe, a family photo of all of us, a photo of just the kids and my favorite … a photo of my grandma & grandpa on my parent’s wedding day standing next to my twenty something year old father. I explained to my nine year old who they were. He argued with me about the twenty-something year old man NOT being HIS grandfather and of course – I laughed. Than I made a simple statement that took the scary experience he had and turned it into something unique, almost beautiful …. I told him those two people (my grandparents) were his guardian angels and they were probably here last night just checking up on everyone making sure that we are safe and sound. The look in my nine-year old son’s eyes was amazing, it was if I handed him a brand new Xbox system. I was inspired!

Naturally he was full of questions, some of which I can’t answer. My advice to him was to ask his PARP (religion class) instructor about Guardian Angels. I believe I handled our haunting issue with ease. Considering our house is 140 years old – anything is possible.

Friday Fill-In’s #200

1. Why does the United States focus so much on helping others from different countries when we have enough of our own that are homeless, starving and without any assistance?

Mommy Moments (I have quite a few of those!)

Post a photo of your kids with something little? Hrmmmm.

When we got home, Cadey immediately prepped her cake and I put it in the oven. Every three minutes or so she wanted to know if it was ready to frost. When it was finally complete, I set it up on the oven to cool before we frosted it. About three hours later I observed claw marks in the cake. Not just any claw mark though, they were little fingered people claw marks. Ahhh yes, my children who tested the cake for it’s pure fluffiness while their dad and I were obviously not observing their naughty behaviors. Yet again, I found myself smirking as I considered how boring my life would be without children. I mean think about it … I would make a cake and have NO ONE to claw it prior to frosting it. How boring!

Cadey sat down proudly at the kitchen table, armed with her sprinkles. I frosted the cake assuring it was spread evenly (an OCD I have). I sat the cake (in fear) in front of Cadey … at first she carefully dusted the top with star candies. Aww how cute I thought. Next she closed the top and grabbed the little ball sprinkles. You know the ones that if you spill them on the floor it’s a god honest mess? She armed her canister and didn’t carefully dust this time, she poured. Oh dear god. I managed to wrangle the sprinkles from her tight little grasp and complete her job. A good portion of the cake was frosted and had about 1/2 ” of sprinkles on top. Fun! What makes this whole experience amusing is …

1. It’s not Bear’s Birthday. His Birthday was two weeks ago.
2. The sprinkles I hate the most – made a mess as I predicted.
3. The cake was white with red, white and blue sprinkles in the batter.
4. The frosting was red and the sprinkles … those were red, white and blue too.

What can I say, we had a birthday party for a dog who’s birthday was two weeks ago AND already had a party for the hell of it with a 4th of July theme. Just a note, the dog did get a piece of his birthday cake and loved it. I love being a mom, it’s the ONLY job in the world where you can have a Fourth of July Birthday Party in November.

1. My hair is pretty fabulous. It is dire need of a dye job (again) but I love the way my hair stylist cut it. Yup, fabbb-o.
2. My eyes … they’re a misty gray color. I’ve been told they resemble a marble pattern (? W.t.F ?).
3. My bum is pretty nice. My husband seems to agree. After three kids, I think my bum is bigger, but .. umm.. there?
4. My lips – my daughter has my lips and they have a pretty shape. I have pretty lips. *puckers up*
5. My heart – it hasn’t failed me yet. Still beating …

What?!? She didn’t specify inside or outside, right? I have a damn good heart. Pffft. (:

Words of Wisdom Wednesday – ahhhh yes, lets interview my three year old, the light of my life, my little princess … the one who randomly butts into conversations to tell me she has to pee or poop. Wonderful! Again, I missed last week so lets start there ….

Cadey: Smashing scooby-doo into over-stuffed little tykes school bus.

Cadey: Huh?
Me: Why is the weather getting cold?
Cadey: Because Santa is coming with my birthday cupcake.
